Back in Harstad

Just before the pandemic hit Smokie performed just eight shows and Kulturhus at Clarion Hotel Arcticus was one of those, on 15th February 2020. In a way it is a very good thing to return to the same gig because it allows us to really feel the mood of those people who are once again going out to have fun after all the lockdowns, vaccinations and mask wearing. The sold out show was indeed an extremely good way of taking the audience’s temperature because they were utterly hot for Smokie and with us every step of the way. Now it is firmly agreed that the band are continuing in accordance with Terry’s wishes we can really go to town on the performance and the material. The altered line up has been so well received that we feel like we have always been together. We can now feel confident about our upcoming Danish tour that what we are giving the audience is what they like to hear, played with new vigour and presented with new humour and off the cuff comments. Now I can honestly say that I don’t know exactly what’s going to happen each night and it feels wonderful.
